Un choix strat\u00e9gique qui r\u00e9pond \u00e0 plusieurs imp\u00e9ratifs : <strong>r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts, am\u00e9lioration de la durabilit\u00e9 et d\u00e9mocratisation de la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que la marque \u00e9toil\u00e9e vise une <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.svalbard.fr\/actualites\/mercedes-avait-promis-une-batterie-revolutionnaire-pour-voitures-electriques-ou-est-elle\/\">\u00e9lectrification<\/a> <\/strong>compl\u00e8te de sa gamme d\u2019ici 2030, elle s\u2019adapte aux d\u00e9fis du march\u00e9 en optant pour cette technologie de batteries d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien implant\u00e9e en Chine. Mais pourquoi un tel virage, et quels en sont les enjeux pour l\u2019industrie automobile europ\u00e9enne ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pourquoi Mercedes-Benz mise sur les batteries LFP<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Si les batteries <strong>nickel-cobalt-mangan\u00e8se (NMC)<\/strong> sont r\u00e9put\u00e9es pour leur <strong>haute densit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/strong>, elles restent co\u00fbteuses \u00e0 produire. \u00c0 l\u2019inverse, les batteries <strong>LFP<\/strong> offrent une alternative plus abordable, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 <strong>l\u2019absence de cobalt et de nickel<\/strong>, deux mat\u00e9riaux aux prix volatils et dont l\u2019extraction pose des d\u00e9fis environnementaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien que les <strong>batteries LFP affichent une autonomie inf\u00e9rieure<\/strong>, elles pr\u00e9sentent <strong>deux atouts majeurs<\/strong> :<br>\u2714 <strong>Une plus grande long\u00e9vit\u00e9<\/strong>, ce qui r\u00e9duit les co\u00fbts d\u2019entretien sur le long terme.<br>\u2714 <strong>Une meilleure r\u00e9sistance thermique<\/strong>, limitant ainsi les risques de surchauffe et d\u2019incendie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces caract\u00e9ristiques en font une solution id\u00e9ale pour <strong>les v\u00e9hicules compacts destin\u00e9s \u00e0 un usage urbain et p\u00e9riurbain<\/strong>. Mercedes-Benz pr\u00e9voit d\u2019int\u00e9grer ces batteries \u00e0 ses prochains mod\u00e8les <strong>rempla\u00e7ants des EQA et EQB<\/strong>, avec une capacit\u00e9 de <strong>58 kWh<\/strong> et une autonomie optimis\u00e9e pour la ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un compromis entre autonomie et co\u00fbt<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Loin d\u2019abandonner totalement les batteries <strong>NMC<\/strong>, Mercedes-Benz choisit de segmenter son offre. Les mod\u00e8les premium continueront d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e9quip\u00e9s de batteries <strong>85 kWh<\/strong>, permettant des autonomies pouvant atteindre <strong>750 km<\/strong>. Ce double positionnement vise \u00e0 satisfaire \u00e0 la fois les conducteurs recherchant une solution <strong>\u00e9conomique et fiable<\/strong>, et ceux privil\u00e9giant une <strong>autonomie maximale<\/strong> pour les longs trajets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette flexibilit\u00e9 dans l\u2019offre permet au constructeur allemand de <strong>rendre ses v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques plus accessibles sans sacrifier la performance sur le haut de gamme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une d\u00e9pendance aux fournisseurs chinois<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Si Mercedes-Benz adopte cette technologie, elle doit encore compter sur <strong>les leaders chinois du secteur<\/strong>, comme <strong>BYD et CATL<\/strong>, qui dominent le march\u00e9 des batteries LFP. Un paradoxe pour le constructeur allemand, qui est pourtant actionnaire d\u2019<strong>Automotive Cell Company (ACC)<\/strong>, une coentreprise europ\u00e9enne qui peine encore \u00e0 produire ces batteries \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette d\u00e9pendance aux <strong>acteurs asiatiques<\/strong> refl\u00e8te une tendance plus large dans l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.svalbard.fr\/actualites\/cette-nouvelle-technologie-pour-moteurs-diesel-pourrait-elle-eclipser-lavenir-des-voitures-electriques\/\"><strong>industrie automobile<\/strong><\/a>. D\u2019autres constructeurs europ\u00e9ens suivent la m\u00eame trajectoire : <strong>Renault pr\u00e9voit une Twingo LFP en 2026<\/strong>, et <strong>Stellantis<\/strong> int\u00e8gre d\u00e9j\u00e0 cette technologie sur certains de ses mod\u00e8les.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vers une d\u00e9mocratisation de l\u2019\u00e9lectrique en Europe ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec l\u2019adoption croissante des <strong>batteries LFP<\/strong>, les constructeurs europ\u00e9ens prennent un virage strat\u00e9gique qui pourrait acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la transition vers l\u2019\u00e9lectro mobilit\u00e9. <strong>Mercedes-Benz<\/strong> ne fait pas exception et ajuste son offre pour r\u00e9pondre aux exigences d\u2019un march\u00e9 en pleine mutation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le pari est clair : rendre les <strong>v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques plus accessibles<\/strong>, tout en garantissant <strong>fiabilit\u00e9 et s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong>.
