C\u2019est exactement ce qui se passe aujourd\u2019hui en Chine, o\u00f9 une technologie vieille de 2 000 ans rena\u00eet pour offrir une nouvelle vie \u00e0 l\u2019un des plus grands navires de transport au monde.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un g\u00e9ant des mers transform\u00e9 par l\u2019\u00e9nergie du vent<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Construit en 2012 sur les chantiers navals de Rongsheng, le <strong>Sohar Max<\/strong>, un impressionnant transporteur de minerai de 350 m\u00e8tres, entre dans une nouvelle \u00e8re.<br>En octobre 2024, cinq <strong>voiles rotatives<\/strong> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9es sur son pont par <strong>Anemoi Marine Technologies<\/strong>, une entreprise britannique sp\u00e9cialiste de la <strong>propulsion assist\u00e9e par le vent<\/strong>.<br>Ces voiles, hautes de <strong>35 m\u00e8tres<\/strong> pour <strong>5 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre<\/strong>, reposent sur le principe de <strong>l\u2019effet Magnus<\/strong>, qui utilise la force du vent pour g\u00e9n\u00e9rer une pouss\u00e9e suppl\u00e9mentaire et r\u00e9duire la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svalbard.fr\/actualites\/carburant-cette-astuce-peu-connue-permettrait-deconomiser-jusqua-45\/\"><strong>consommation de carburant<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une technologie adapt\u00e9e aux d\u00e9fis logistiques modernes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Anemoi ne s\u2019est pas content\u00e9e de placer des voiles : elle a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un <strong>syst\u00e8me de r\u00e9traction sur mesure<\/strong>, permettant d&rsquo;abaisser ces g\u00e9ants d&rsquo;acier lors des <strong>op\u00e9rations de chargement et de d\u00e9chargement<\/strong>.<br>Ainsi, <strong>l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 logistique<\/strong> du Sohar Max reste intacte, tout en profitant des avantages \u00e9cologiques du vent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Petite anecdote :<\/strong> lors d&rsquo;une conf\u00e9rence maritime \u00e0 Singapour, un ing\u00e9nieur confiait que voir ces \u00e9normes m\u00e2ts se replier en quelques minutes est aussi impressionnant que de voir les ailes d&rsquo;un avion se d\u00e9ployer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un impact environnemental et \u00e9conomique consid\u00e9rable<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette innovation, le Sohar Max pourra r\u00e9duire sa consommation de carburant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 <strong>6 %<\/strong>, soit environ <strong>3 000 tonnes de carburant \u00e9conomis\u00e9es par an<\/strong>.<br>Ce gain permettra \u00e9galement de r\u00e9duire les <strong>\u00e9missions de CO\u2082<\/strong>, un enjeu majeur pour le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svalbard.fr\/actualites\/un-enorme-navire-russe-transportant-20-000-tonnes-dexplosifs-mortels-sechoue\/\"><strong>transport maritime<\/strong><\/a>, responsable de pr\u00e8s de <strong>3 % des \u00e9missions mondiales<\/strong> de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, selon <strong>l\u2019Organisation maritime internationale (OMI)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 du geste pour la plan\u00e8te, cette transition repr\u00e9sente aussi <strong>des \u00e9conomies substantielles<\/strong> pour les exploitants du navire sur le long terme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Des tests grandeur nature pour valider la technologie<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s l\u2019installation, le Sohar Max a mis le cap sur <strong>Tubarao<\/strong>, au Br\u00e9sil, pour effectuer ses <strong>essais en conditions r\u00e9elles<\/strong>.<br>Ces tests sont essentiels pour \u00e9valuer la performance du syst\u00e8me, ajuster les r\u00e9glages et optimiser <strong>l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/strong> du navire sur les longues travers\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un partenariat strat\u00e9gique pour un avenir plus vert<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet est le fruit d&rsquo;une collaboration entre la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 mini\u00e8re br\u00e9silienne <strong>Vale SA<\/strong> (propri\u00e9taire du Sohar Max), <strong>Asyad<\/strong> et <strong>Anemoi Marine Technologies<\/strong>.<br>Ensemble, ils visent \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux nouvelles normes internationales telles que le <strong>CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator)<\/strong> et l\u2019<strong>EEXI (Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index)<\/strong>, destin\u00e9es \u00e0 r\u00e9duire l&#8217;empreinte carbone du transport maritime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vers une r\u00e9volution durable dans la navigation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>technologie des voiles rotatives<\/strong> suscite un int\u00e9r\u00eat grandissant parmi les armateurs cherchant \u00e0 <strong>atteindre la neutralit\u00e9 carbone<\/strong>.<br>Compacte et performante, elle offre une <strong>solution \u00e9cologique<\/strong> qui am\u00e9liore l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 sans compromettre la capacit\u00e9 de charge ou la rapidit\u00e9 des
